Summary/Abstract: The media channels functioning over profit base have to accelerate their rating ratios in order to fulfil the economic necessity of working within the private sector. Although it is a tematic or a a profitable TV channel, all channels have to beat their opponents to survive in the sector. The term, “participant audience” becomes a major element to increase the rating ratio of the media In this article the magic box (television) will be examined by the channels’ usage of participant auidence in their reality shows. The literature on media search both in the domestic and the international research will be discussed as well as typical programs using participant audiences in order to solve the transformation power of media over the masses.
