Summary/Abstract: In this work, the author tries to present the universe of water story with the method of language psychology under the lights of the elements which establish the main axis of its poetics, such as sea, ocean, water of fountain, lakes, rivers, floods, and wrecks. We aim to study the poems chosen by using some data from psycholinguistics and semantics. We understand that by a material or element such as water, we can connect the type of daydreaming that commands a synchronic way the faith, the passions, the ideal, the philosophy of a whole life. For that reason, the aesthetics of the water depends largely on the feeling of human mind, on the biological reality, and on the dreamlike temperament. From the material causality to the formal causality of the water, sea is synchronically a symbol of the dynamics of life and a symbol of fertility. As we know well, sea is fate and everything returns to it as a place of birth, transformation and revival. Water in movement, the sea symbolizes a passing state between the still informal possibility and the formal realities, a situation of ambivalence, which is the one of the uncertainty, the doubt, the indecision, and which can end or not. We can say that the meditation on water requires an open imagination. The sea is an image of life and death in the poems of Charles Baudelaire and Can Yücel.
