SMART, SYNTHESIS STRATEGIES IN COMBATING TERRORISM

Summary/Abstract: The new strategies in combating terrorism, in terms of multiple mutations in identity, training and actions of terrorist groups and networks, imply a real call to intelligence, developing synthetic character, multiinstitutional, cooperative and preemptive civilian and military activities engaged in this fight. UN, NATO, OSCE, UE member states’ common efforts to increase the ef- ficiency in combating terrorism must be concerted through international solidarity and cooperation and by strengthening the tie between institutions and civilian population.
