Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is the research of regularities of sound formation and sound extraction in brass instruments and to determine, on these principles, the main directions for solving the problems of forming the musician`s performing apparatus. The methodology involves the use of physical, acoustic, anatomical, and physiological approaches to the understanding the processes of sound production and sound extraction in brass instruments, allowing you to find the ways of a practical solution to decision problems of the musician performing apparatus. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the expansion of objective knowledge about the formation processes of the musician performing skills, which eventually allow you to achieve success in the challenges that arise. Conclusions. Knowledge of the objective laws of sound production and sound extraction in brass instruments allows a wide range of students playing on these instruments successfully to address the setting of the instrument performance and improve performance skills. Optimal fit the individual characteristics of the labial apparatus of each musician to the objective requirements of sound production valve formation can be determined by two factors: 1. If the connection of the mouthpiece with the lips provides a full part of the epithelium of both lips in sounding and free adjustment, the musician in the state without the participation of the language easy and clean to remove any sound. 2. The degree and quality of participation of the epithelium in the sound production can be identified by its reaction to the amplified sound. If fully operational, the epithelium of both lips, the amplitude of its fluctuations has a great range and the sound of the instrument can achieve great strength. With the gradual strengthening of the supply air, the sound is easily amplified to the maximum power without distortion and interference.
