Summary/Abstract: Тhis paper represents comparative analysis of the key aspects of the travelogue by Jerotej Račanin through the prism of biblical and oral tradition, as well as their pervasion in the genre itself, on the end of the Medieval Age and the beginning of early Modern Age. This study includes the imagological assumptions about the image of the Other from the point of view of an Orthodox monk in the beginning of 18th century.
