Summary/Abstract: The article describes the wooden Orthodox church in Băile Felix, as well as the liturgical life developed there through the service of the priest Iorest Grebenea and the cantor Miron Popa. The chanting specific to that place proves to be a multisecular synthesis of the Byzantine music with the local folklore. The musical tradition of the area was based on ear and memory and on the cult books texts.
