Keywords: László Németh; self-deconstruction
Summary/Abstract: László Németh is one of the most remarkable and at the same time the most often debated figures of twentieth-century Hungarian intellectual life: a writer, a teacher and a politician who was striving to set an independent way of Hungarian social development. The lecture analyses the monography on Németh published in 2001, focusing on the problem of the self-deconstruction of Western culture and Németh’s attempts to answer to it.
