Summary/Abstract: The present work is the analysis of the world presented in the Russian lyrical prose of the 80’s of the nineteenth century. The author of the article concentrated her attention on the changes taking place in the construction of reality presented in comparison with the forms which were in force in the classical model of the realistic novel. These trans formations first of all resolve themselves to the substitution of the traditional nineteenth century convention of composition constituting the pragmatic series of events flowing one from another, the loose connection of the contents of events, a row of episodes. This scenic organization of the presented world, the break of the work into separate moments marked the new type of time orientation, as well as new methods of formation of heroes now subordinated to the principles of subjectivization and individualism. Hence in the lyrical prose in place of the wide panorama of the world there is introduced a narrow, unordered plan of fiction presenting the lyrically experience reality, full of vagueness and insinuations.
