Summary/Abstract: The study introduces lesser known aspects of the Czechoslovak air staff serving in the Royal Air Force. It primarily portrays the diverse life of airmen in-between actions, and the way it changed as the war progressed. The information is placed in broader contexts. Some of the less known archive sources are used, largely from the Central Military Archives in Prague, CZ, and the National Archives of the United Kingdom. The study also includes the journal entries of some of the members of the resistance movement outside Czechoslovakia, and draws on multiple foreign sources of literature.
