Summary/Abstract: The study focuses on the spirituality of the teacher, as an important dimension of the personality of the person who enters and influences the educational process. It presents the results of research aimed at finding the level of spirituality among primary school teachers (N = 192), differences in the degree of spirituality among teachers at traditional and alternative schools, and the relationship of spirituality with empathy. It shows that the degree of spirituality of alternative school teachers is significantly higher, in the dimensions of eco-spirituality, ethical enthusiasm, belonging, mysticism, conscientious care, and latent monotheism, than the degree of spirituality of traditional school teachers. It has been found that the overall rate of spirituality is positively correlated with the degree of empathy, and that the spirituality of teachers is a significant predictor of their empathy.
