Summary/Abstract: The study deals with the hitherto comprehensively unprocessed topic of the central Cyrillo-Methodian festivities in Slovakia. This is one of the aspects of the development of the Cyrillo-Methodian tradition in Slovakia after 1918. The Cyrillo-Methodian cult was less pronounced than would be expected. The festivities were organized at first in Ružomberok and then in Devín. The tradition of the festivities was formed in a confessional and ethnically diverse environment. Despite the changes in political regimes and states, the festivities have survived until the present.
