Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of the 20th century, there is a new direction in historiography: history of daily life. The Moldavian Soviet historiography addressed every issue, daily life included, in a way that wouldn’t cross the Communist Party’s policy. By the contrary, the post-soviet one is focusing on the revaluation of the daily life, mentality and society in general. There was a massive process of industrialization and nationalization of the private property initiated by the Communist Party, resulting in a lot of changes in people’s daily life.
