Summary/Abstract: With the end of the Cold War, a new era began in international relations. In the post-Soviet speace power gaps have occurred and as a result of this circumstances new independent states have emerged. Central Asian states were also affected by this process. Iran came to the fore as one of the states that realized the importance of the bilateral relations with these states. Tehran has tried to develop its relations with this region regarding linguistic, historical, cultural and religious fields. This paper examines the relations between Iran and Central Asian countries focusing on soft power within the case of Tajikistan.
