Summary/Abstract: Collecting ex-libris is a pursuit mainly known among art lovers and beauty lovers. The first ex-libris-label printed on paper appeared since Gutenberg. Collecting these pieces of small graphics originates in the XIXth century. The collector from Alba Iulia, Iacob Mârza, as bibliologist and art lover, gathered approximately 4000 ex-libris either Romanian or from worldwide authors in about 25 years; his collection is based on works of illustrators from Alba Iulia Alexandru Rădulescu, Radu Solovăstru and then other Romanian artists. Currently, this is held by the National Museum of Unification Alba Iulia.
