Summary/Abstract: Extremely low public confidence in the police and the publicly detected perfidious influence of politics on police leadership structures, which is reflected in poor police management, and the disparity between the money invested and the provided security services, raise certain questions, i.e. whether the existing police management system through the police commissioner, elected by the Independent Committee, is a cause of insecurity for citizens and a threat to the security of their property, and would police management by the Minister provide greater security for citizens and their property? The analyzed legal framework indicate that poor management of police structures rests with deviant application of the current legal framework which enables perfidious influence of politics on the work of Committee that elects heads of police, and thus on lower police chiefs, and leads to the conclusion that the current legal framework must be changed, in other words, in order to improve the police work and restore trust in the police, the police must be managed by the Minister of the Interior through the Chiefs, and in doing so one would know to whom to attribute responsibility and whose dismissal to seek in case of insecurity of citizens and endangerment of their property, more concretely, whose dismissal to seek in a case of poor police management.
