Summary/Abstract: Three cups with vertical raised handle, coming from two inhumation graves, were discovered in the necropolis of the first Iron Age from Sancrai, in 2016. On the bottom of these cups were identified three symbols depicting the swastika, the cross with equal lines and a sign with three parallel vertical lines perpendicular on a horizontal line. Significance of these symbols is related to social affiliation, kinship or political convictions of the individual, marking of an estate or magical-religious beliefs. These signs may be of Asian origin, they entering the European area by old Indo-European populations that came from this geographic area. As for their identification in the Scythian environment, there should be considered the Iranic origin of the Scythian population, and Scythian-Sarmatian relations with the people from the Indus Valley.
