Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to focus on the development of the forex market after the first regulation made by the Capital Markets Board of Turkey in 2011 and to evaluate the impact of recent legal regulation on the market made in 2017. For this purpose, number of forex market brokerage firms, number of secured investors, trading volumes, the profit and loss ratio in investor accounts and the numbers of investor complaints were investigated in accordance with the structural regulations by years in Turkey. As a result, the number of brokerage firms, trading volume and the number of investors started to increase in Turkey forex market placed on legal ground in 2011. However, number of investors decreased after the legal regulations made in 2017. Therefore, the protection of both market dynamics and investors should be targeted with additional measures. At this point, it is necessary to rearrange the initial collaterals and leverage ratios according to the investor type, to increase the audits of brokerage firms, to establish training departments in these institutions, to increase the training period and number of trials for investors.
