Summary/Abstract: In this comparative article, the alternative historical novel in Russian and English literature is taken as a historical work, and anti-colonialism will act as the third component on the competitive arena: natural instigator, deep meaning and context of the artistic storyline and extra-textual factors. The aim of the article is a comparative analysis of the functional features of alternative history novels in English and Russian literature in the discourse of anti-colonialism.
