Summary/Abstract: Based on an in-depth survey of the literature, the purpose of the paper is to explore the relationship between smartphone addiction risk, depression psychopathology, and social anxiety. Using and replicating data from The Center for Internet and Technology Addiction, Insights West & iamota, Pew Research Center, and YouGov, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding problematic smartphone use severity. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling.
