About an anthropomorphic figurine type from Vinča culture

Summary/Abstract: In this contribution the author presents a type of clay figurine less frequent in the area of Vinča culture. Starting from an object without archaeological context, we analyzed the figurines belonging to this category in the Vinča area and neighboring territories. Some aspects such as typology and technology of the figurines, the possible meanings, and their chronology are discussed.
