Summary/Abstract: The article presents some selected cases, dealt with in the Ombudsman’s Office, regarding persons with disabilities. Selected cases were discussed, which have recently been the subject of explanatory proceedings conducted by the Polish Ombudsman. Their analysis leads to the conclusion that there are more and more cases of a general nature – those that do not concern only a single person (s), but are relevant to the entire group of people with disabilities. These are often matters that are very important for this group – for they relate to, for example, disability certificates or everyday help (e.g. assistantship). However, it is important that, in addition to making speeches to decision-makers, the Ombudsman publicizes these matters properly so that they reach the public.
