Summary/Abstract: Romanian literature in times of artistic crisis has always found expression and refuge in the general human values of the people, represented by the elements of intangible cultural heritage. The maximum capitalization of the ethnofolkloric constituents in the works of the Romanian writers managed to highlight the ancestrality and the defining features of the existential rural spirituality. The assessments regarding the folkloric species, enunciated in the works of M. Eminescu, V. Alecsandri, C. Negruzzi, A. Russo, B. Petriceicu-Hașdeu, etc., serve as arguments. In this approach, we will draw some conclusive arguments necessary to investigate the increased interest of creative individuals in the values of traditional culture, as a point of resistance to the historical turmoil brought about by the Soviet regime. Also, we will try to observe ways of functioning of the folkloric elements inside the written literature, used, mainly, to outline some lyrical and epic representations of the peasant environments in which the moral and spiritual essence of the nation is preserved, a phenomenon considered by literary criticism as a catalyst for a stagnant literature.
