Summary/Abstract: The goal of this contribution is to review and to discuss the content of the publication “Germanistyka otwarta. Wrocławskie debaty o języku i językoznawstwie”. The volume consists of four parts, which focus on the discourse in theory and practice, glottodidactics, applied linguistics and research on Silesia. It contains in total 25 contributions, which are briefly examined here.
