Linking the Payment Period to the Principle of Contributivity or the Suspensive Effect of the Employee’s Drama

Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the author intends to analyse the concepts of contribution period and principle of contributivity, as well as the relationship between these institutions of law, amid the questionable application of the legal provisions and the possible misinterpretation of the questions of law answered by the High Court of Cassation and Justice. To this end, the author provides the arguments necessary to clarify the legal issues, whilst also analysing the opinions expressed in the legal literature and citing the appropriate solutions from the national case law.
