Summary/Abstract: The author gives comments on Barac’s article, emphasizing the relative language freedom reflected in the fact that Professor Barac, without any reluctance, uses the term standard Croatian language and thus resolutely refutes the Serbian thesis that the Croats have taken their language from the Serbs - the thesis which the Serbs often repeat even today.
