Summary/Abstract: In recent years, faced with the emergence of a more accelerated innovation in information and communication technologies, there has also been a need to change thetraditional processes of operation and control in the public sector. Although it is true since thebeginning of the 21st century, Mexico has been making efforts to implement an electronicgovernment agenda, there are no truly verifiable parameters on its contribution to guaranteetransparency and accountability in public activities in the three areas of government, inparticular, regarding the treatment of corruption. For this reason, this work aims to examine therelationships and possible contributions that electronic government can generate to promotetransparency and accountability, as well as regarding the treatment of corruption.
