Summary/Abstract: The water footprint was introduced by Hoekstra in 2002 to have an indicator of water consumption that could provide useful information in addition to traditional indicators in the water production sector. The general lack of water, water pollution and the depletion of freshwater resources are among the most important environmental challenges facing the 21st century related to water. At the heart of these challenges is that humanity is using too much water. The water use databases traditionally contain three columns for water use: water withdrawal in the domestic, industrial and agricultural sectors, respectively. This paper aims to address the important problems a community faces in a number of areas, referring to the behavior people have when using water and showing that they are directly affected by the excessive use of these resources. In order to determine both the smallest and the largest water footprint a person can have, the water footprint calculator available on the EasyCalculation.com and the online questionnaire built with Google Forms have been used.
