The impact of services on economic growth in EU countries

Summary/Abstract: The paper highlights the contribution of tertiary sector to the economic growth at the EU level, in the period of 1995-2016. By using EUROSTAT data regarding gross added value of services and GDP per capita, a strong positive correlation is put in evidence, suggesting that services can be seen as source of long run economic growth.
