Summary/Abstract: The spiritual needs of Romanian migrants in Central Europe have determined institutions and people to adjust in order to offer Romanian families religious assistance in their mother tongue wherever they lived. I have decided to write about the foundation of the Romanian Orthodox community in Prague because – following the invitations received from the Romania Embassy in Prague and the Prague Archdiocese – I have witnesses numerous cultural and religious events since 2003. These revealed me that the Romanian orthodoxy has its specific, well-defined placed within the frame of the Czech Orthodox Church. Young Romanian families living in Prague have a place where they feel like home. This unique place is “The Romanian Orthodox Parish – Prague 5”. Here, the much gifted priest Andrei Danciu, born in Arad, maintains alive the Romanian soul in the Czech Republic.
