Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the origin and word formation of the Croatian word "pelud" (pollen). More specifically. it discusses the unjustified normative persecution of the word "pelud" as being a bohemism. The nature of two-gendered nouns of i-declination is discussed, with special reference to the two-gendered noun "pelud".
