Summary/Abstract: The suite ”Cine n-are dor de lunca” is one of the most representative and, at the same time accessible, choir creations of folkloric inspiration from the record of Teodor Zgureanu. The poetic text message of the suite is humorous and it is fully reflected in the music content. The suite includes three contrasting miniatures. The work is noticeable for its rather varied choral writing that contains the homophone-harmonic exposition combined with the accompanying monody and some elements of contrasting miniatures. The work is remarked by a rather diverse imitative polyphony. The suite's music is full of mood and optimism that the composer shows through various inflections, unique rhythmic drawings as well as musical themes with a playful character. Executing and hearing this choral suite always creates a good mood through a well-ordered development of poetic ideas, form, and musical material. The author highlighted and analyzed a number of technological peculiarities and means of expression of the cycle ”Cine n-are dor de luncă” that can be and applied both in the process of rehearsals and during the stage performance.
