Summary/Abstract: Factoring has now established itself, both domestically and internationally, on a competitive market that has matured with the evolution of information technology, proving to be a strong and important financial instrument, along with invoice discounting technique. Recent years have seen the development of new types of invoice finance as part of the alternative finance market involving the sale of specific debts upon web-based invoice trading platforms. Now, more than ever, in providing the much-needed liquidity to companies in times of global supply chain disruptions caused by the current Covid-19 pandemic, online factoring and invoice trading on online platforms provides the financing that entrepreneurs need for the continuous cash flow, indispensable to their business.
