Summary/Abstract: The article describes the issue of emotions in the process of art therapy, a discipline using art and creative activity in the therapeutic process. It draws attention to the difficulty of studying emotions, emphasizing their role in the creative process. Presentation of historical examples of recognizing the relationship between aesthetic emotions and psychophysical condition finds its support in psychoneuroimmunology, a discipline investigating the links between the immune system and the central nervous system. Presented hypotheses and scientific opinions explain the genesis of the creation of culture and its perception in the perspective of evolutionary studies in the humanities.
