Summary/Abstract: Researching the existing bibliography on the conquest of Crimea, from the SECOND WORLD WAR, the authors analyze the combat actions of large units of the Romanian army, along with Wehrmacht troops, highlighting some aspects of their lesser-known operations and which sometimes, were inaccurately or biased presented. The authors of the article analyze the motivation for hiring Romanian troops by Romanian political and military decision-makers, the particularities of the Crimean operational area, the campaign deployment, and the importance given by the belligerents to conquering and defending this area of strategic interest, respectively. The highlighting of the actions in which the Romanian troops participated is far from showing the complexity of the missions fulfilled by the Romanian troops and their deeds of glory, which contributed to the conquest of Crimea.
