Summary/Abstract: On the basis of canon law in relation to the Catholic Church, there are two basic categories of people, namely baptized and unbaptized. The main subject of canon law are baptized persons. They have specific rights and obligations to the community. The Lay faithful have a definite mission in the Church. This mission is carried out in three models of the community: populus Dei, communio fidelium and Corpus Christi.
