Summary/Abstract: The process of adaptation to the socio-cultural realities of another country has been approached in several scientific studies that have had as research subject the adaptation to the cultural shock. Romanian migration, especially labour migration, has not been sufficiently analysed in order to observe the characteristic ways of Romanians to adapt after leaving their country of origin. This paper presents a series of observations, made in the research internships within the MIRO project, in comparison to the elements presented in the theories mentioned above.
