Summary/Abstract: Transnational migration has emerged as a new branch of research, being promoted by three sociologists, between 1992 and 1994. It is Nina Glick Schiller, Linda Basch and Cristina Szanton Blanc, who argue that transnationalism can be defined as a process over time. to which the emigrants build social networks, which creates a link between the country of origin and the country of destination, the result of which is a new social figure, namely the "trans-migrant". Its main features are simultaneous participation in the two poles of the network and the pendulum movement of immigrants. This is why in this context it is necessary to re-evaluate the term of migration or emigrant, and of a review of the idea that the migration process is necessarily and necessary instead of origin and destination.
