Summary/Abstract: Taking into consideration that this year is the anniversary of Romanian village, my material adresses the theme of the village in the music of George Enescu. His native village, Liveni, is painted with the help of music from Orchestral Suite No.3, Villageoise. Even the name of the piece is related to the village, and the composer gave suggestive names to the five parts of this work: Spring on the field, Children playing, The old childhood home at sunset. Shepherd. Traveling birds and crows. Bells of vespers, River under the moon, Peasant dances. Every visual image from these five parts is carefully composed by Enescu with the help of the instrumental stamp. This compositional style helps the audience create exactly the images and states the composer wants, so that the native village to always remain in the people’s soul.
