Youth rights between aspirations and realities

Summary/Abstract: The authors deal with the rights and aspirations of the young generation from a universalistic approach. The challenges that young people are facing in our days are not limited to unemployment, drug abuse, crime, AIDS, limited access to education and resources, lack of opportunities to contribute to the development process. Many other dramatic realities are added to all of those. Finding appropriate solutions to the many specific problems of the young generation is a particularly relevant goal in the context of the International Year of Youth, inaugurated on 12 August 2010, with the theme "Dialogue and Mutual Understanding".
