Summary/Abstract: From the total 305 fines imposed under the GDPR in Europe, since the enforcement of the General Data Protection Regulation, in the first 5 months of 2020 (of which 3 months were overshadowed by the Covid 19 pandemic and apparently Europe had other priorities) were applied 86 fines in total of 30,824,936 euro. In this article we try to present the situation at European level through relevant statistics starting from the top of the countries where the most fines were awarded, their top values and the legal basis of the GDPR fines. From this analysis we realize once again that Regulation 679/2016 is the law with one of the highest fines in the world, probably because that the value of personal data has far exceeded that value of the petrol or precious metals.
