Summary/Abstract: In the summer of 2019, in Ilişua (pl. I/a), around the area of the former roman auxiliary fort (pl. I/b), I. András from Uriu/Felőr, discovered, while doing agricultural work, a clay lamp (pl. II). The object is rather well preserved and is stamped with the FORTIS acronym (the letters are 5 mm long but are almost erased). Its dimensions are the following: length = 7,5 cm; diameter of the oil basin = 5 cm; diameter of the base = 3,5 cm; height = 3 cm. The artefact from Ilişua appears to be a quality copy, manufactured in a local or provincial specialized ceramic workshop. We believe that the roman lamp was made somewhere around the 2nd of 3rd century A.D.
