Summary/Abstract: Grigore C. Moisil’s contribution is recognized in the field of the Romanian School of Computerization. His life was dedicated to mathematics and computer science and he became an outstanding scientist and professor. In 1950, Moisil was also the main personality in promoting computer science and cybernetics in academic, university and high schools of Romania. That was a time when the political regime dominated the cultural life in Romania. Despite this, he used his scientific authority to encourage the Romanian scientists to make researches regarding the first computer. Thus, Grigore C. Moisil is truly a pioneer in computer in Romania.
