Summary/Abstract: “Transparency of the act of justice” is a project meant to develop the relationship between the institutions of the legal system and the public and the media. The project was developed by the Superior Council of Magistracy in the larger context of harmonizing the legal system with the European standards, particularly in order to consolidate the independence of the system and develop the magistrates’ and the auxiliary staff’s professionalism in view of improving the way the system is administrated and for better access to justice. The general objective consists in increasing transparency with the activity of the courts and the parquets, improving the activity of the information and public relations bureaus, and the activity of the latter’s auxiliary services - the archives and the registrar’s office. Seminars, alongside other activities, will focus on the relationship with the media and the relationship with the citizens and publicize the best communication practices.
