Summary/Abstract: The article is focused on showing the sub-cultural world of the imprisoned,including the convicted “wise guys”. Entering the path of crime and then being incarnatedwere presented in the optics of upbringing and socialization as important processes ofhuman development. Prison is an institution in which thousands of people deprived of theirliberty create a “second life”, giving it a variety of faces and dimensions. The subculturaldependencies in a penitentiary institution should be seen as an immanent feature of thisenvironment, which are not uniform in their content, and their modification is in facta natural consequence of the dynamics of social development.
