Multiculturality between Cultures

Summary/Abstract: The author treats the transformation of the meaning of minorities in Europe during the last decades. He analyzes especially the paradoxical status of the Other within the socio-economic structures of Europe and depicts the broad manipulation with the otherness in the name of multiculturalism. Paying attention to the conditions of the respect, he is examining the social frame for the translation between differences. The author criticizes ideologies that project the prefabricated encounter between the differences and offers the conditions for the being-between.
