Summary/Abstract: The Author pays attention to the necessity to consider all the accessible archival sources in research in the history of professional photography. However, in her work on photography in Piotrków Trybunalski till 1939 M. Lachowicz-Skrzyńska did not refer to documents of the Piotrków gubernial authorities, which arc now kept at the State Archives in Lodz. On the grounds of the above documents J. Strzałkowski verified and completed information about particular photographic ateliers and their owners, presented by M. Lachowicz-Skrzyńska. Digitalized and reedited material
