Summary/Abstract: Microhistories, orhow to talk about ethnographic objects raises the issue ofdescription and pres-entation ofobjects inethnographic museums that do not fit into the traditionally understood ethnographic collection as related to so-called “folk culture”. The article presents aproposal oft he Ethnographic Museum inKrakow called Microhistories. This exhibition cycle applies to objects which are not displayed onthe permanent exhibition ofthe Museum. The descrip-tion ofobjects is based here onethnographic interviews with donors ofitems donated to the MEK collection, to present objects through the eyes oftheir former users.
