Summary/Abstract: Among the effects produced by technology addiction, one of outmost importance is the loss of genuine connection between the members of a family. Alonside this one, the relationship between parents and children suffers, as well. The amount of time the youngsters spend in the company of gadgets becomes grater than the amount of time spent connecting with the members of their family. Not few are the children which adress the issue of missing their devices more than missing their parents, when being faced with the impossibility of reaching any of the two previously mentioned. In most cases, children search for a stronghold in the internet and its social media platforms, without realising that, on a surface level of human relationships development system, lies the isolation and the feeling of loneliness. The way of rectifying this disfunctionality involves the cultivation of genuine connection with human beings and not with insentient objects such as technological devices.
