Summary/Abstract: This text aims to present similarities between the Portuguese and Romanian languages, mainly from a lexical point of view. For that, it comments on different historical, political and cultural aspects involved in the formation of these languages, their similarities and differences, and the peculiarities of the Brazilian Portuguese.
