Summary/Abstract: This paper presents some examples of lexicological and syntactico-semantic analysis (using the linguistic engineering software NooJ 5.0) applied to the corpus of the fourteen Encyclicals of John Paul II. After a brief introduction, the first section (§ 1) concerns the lexicometric aspect of the corpus. The second section (§ 2) deals with the syntactic-semantic analysis and the identification of predicate-argument structures. The third section (§ 3) presents some elements aimed at the study of collocations (restricted lexical combinatorics). The fourth and last section (§ 4) offers a start of French-Polish contrastive analysis.
